The accounting year of all councils starts on 1st April and finishes on 31st March. Local councils levy an annual precept charge, which is collected by the District Council. The precept helps run the services provided by the Parish Council.
The Parish Council has few other sources of income, although it receives some money from recycling and the allotments. The receipts from the allotments cover the costs of the provision of the service
The Accounts and Audit Regulation 2015, The Smaller Authorities (Transparency Requirements) (England) Regulations 2015 and the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities require us to publish certain details in connection with our accounts.
